The settlement of Inveruglas lies at the mouth of the Inveruglas
Water and is dominated by the Sloy Power Station.
Park in the large car park off the A82, cross the road and walk
past the power station, looking out for the small funicular railway
to the right hand side of the pipes.
The 164 mile long West Highland railway line to Mallaig passes
nearby and during the construction of the Loch Sloy hydro scheme
there was even a station here with a single platform, a passing
loop and a few sidings. The station's gone now, but the sign can
still be seen on the wall of Inveruglas farm.
The cache is in the woods beside the burn, please take care when
approaching, as there is a steep slippy, slope nearby, however
there is no need to risk life and limb to retrieve it. GPS signal
wasn't too good under the trees, but the clue should
help.
