This is a quick find in the I-15 rest area off of the Dubois, ID exit. No trail, but close to the mowed pet area. Climbing is not needed.
Winter Note: As has been noted, the Rest Area is closed for the winter... so it is more difficult to get to. I would appreciate it if someone would either drop me a line or add an appropriate log in the spring when the Rest Area reopens. Thanks.
I regularly travel the I-15 corridor between Salt Lake City and Helena. We often stop in Dubois for gasoline and or simply a chance to stretch our legs. For gasoline, we stop at one of the nearby gas stations. If we don't need gas, we'll stop at this rest area. Now I'm into Geocaching, I noticed that this rest area didn't have a cache - and we can't have that can we?
More than once I have found myself at this location too tired to safely drive any further without a nap. This is one of the better rest areas for napping that I've found. The area near the cache is usually quiet and is far enough away from the semi's that you can actually sleep for a while if needed.
