This scenic overlook has a wonderful view of the town of Oakland. As you drive on Route 39 you will see an American Flag and a huge cross. Park at the Lighthouse parking lot below.
Our school enrichment program set up this cache after learning about gps systems. We recommend that you wear tennis shoes because you will be walking up a hill. There is a walking path. The cache is in the woods but not far from the path. The cache is in a rubbermaid container. Some of the students suggest you bring a small shovel. On hot summer days, bottled water is a good idea. Have fun and enjoy the view!
PS...It is highly recommended that you stay on the road path that leads up the hill. There is no need to fight with the forest to get to the cache.
