Welcome to the Greenville Interstate 85
system.
This highway loop will lead you on
a quick tour into the edge of the City of Greenville and through
many smaller outlying towns. You will experience Interstate 85 with
its congestion problems throughout the day, Interstate 385 with its
many small town exits and Interstate 185 (The Southern Connector)
with its country charm and many toll booths.($3.00 in Quarters should get you through the entire
length). Each racer will need to complete 14 pit stop exits
to complete the race.
All 14 stops can be made on a single lap, but it will require a
bit of planning to do it quickly and safely.
Notes for the overall race:
-All caches should be your basic park-n-snag in one of two micro
varieties; the magnelog and the 35mm water cup.
-Each cache does not contain a high-tech mineralized carbon
transfer instrument. So bring your own.
-Such bleeding edge technology is incredibly sensitive to moisture.
Please reseat it properly in it's housing.
-Please log your time carefully for each stop. At the end of the
race, please log your total time for the race.
-Be sure to look for the number in the lid of each cache to help
you find your way to the finish line.
-The race can be completed without entering any of the listed
highways, aren’t maps cool?
-Racers are monitored by officials.
Please obey all posted markings. Add a ten hour penalty for each
citation received.
Be careful, drive safely. You
can't win if you can't finish.
