Dunmere Trek Bonus Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

RodentNoir: This series has had very few finds in recent years, so after nearly 11 years in situ it's time to retire them and free up the area for fresh caches.

I must admit it was with more than a little sadness that I went out today and collected in the caches. Where has that 11 years gone?! :/

Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES

This cache is hidden in Dunmere Wood, to the west of Bodmin. It is accessed via forestry paths. It may involve a bit of a scramble depending on your approach route.

You are looking for a small (0.3ltr) round lock-n-lock container with limited space.

This is a bonus cache requiring you to visit two other caches in the Wood, to obtain the actual coordinates. The two other caches are:
GC13B0V - Dunmere Trek I
GC13B17 - Dunmere Trek II.

You will find half of the required coordinates on a laminated card within each of the above. Please do not remove the card!

The steep terrain and tree cover can make GPS reception a bit patchy. I suggest you go armed with the spoiler photos, just in case your GPS doesn't let you see the wood for the trees.

Please ensure that you hide the cache properly before you leave.
Please *DO NOT PUT IT RIGHT DOWN AT GROUND LEVEL BECAUSE IT WILL GET TOO WET.*
Its intended place is on a natural ledge about one foot above the ground. It is purposely placed above ground to prevent it getting swamped!
There are plenty of natural materials lying around that can be used to conceal the cache.

Dunmere Wood is forestry land, and access rights may change depending on what forestry activities are going on at the time. Please respect all signs and directions.

There is a network of tracks and paths in the wood, which vary in nature from steep and muddy with significant steps, to well made cinder roads with shallow slopes. You can make your journey as easy or as demanding as you want!

There are some steep drops at the south-east of the wood, so keep an eye on the junior cachers. The area is popular with dog walkers, so geo-pooches are welcome.
