Geocache Description:

Nice graveled NF7324 road. Cache best sought in late spring, summer or early fall. After that you'll need a snow mobile. Then the terrain is upped to 5 stars!

Lummieh & Ole Siam travel over to this side of the mountains quite often to visit friends in Peshastin and Leavenworth. On Memorial Day Weekend they camp on Old Blewett Road in the Scotty Creek area. It just didn’t seem there were enough caches in this area, so Lummieh decided to plant a few.

You will find this cache on the National Forrest Road 7324. You can access this road from Blewett Summit or from Scotty Creek Road on the east side of the pass. There are several other caches in this area. But if you wait till winter you’ll have to snow ski in or have a snowmobile to get to them. If you are here in early spring, it might be worth the while to bring a chain saw with you to clear the road of fallen trees. In late spring you will find mushroom hunters looking for the delicate morals. As you drive along the creek you will find signs posted on the trees telling you of placer mining claims. Yes… There is gold in them there hills. One prospector, Bear Cat, use to live here year round. When our friends came up to snowmobile in their younger days. They always brought in supplies and groceries for him. You can still find him now and again at his claim. There are always good stories to hear if you happen to stop by for a visit.

Just sit along side the road and contemplate the HINT for a bit and let your electronic gizmo settle.

The cache is a small cammo'd bottle . It can hold a few smaller trade items. Please re-hide the cache as found or better.

Title has nothing to do with the cache. When it was placed there was a couple BIG boulders in the area that worked their way down the mountain. Who knows how old they could be!
