Geocache Description:

This cache is best sought in late spring, summer and early fall, after the weather gets better. If you wait till winter you’ll have to have a snowmobile and then the terrain is upped to 5 stars.

Lummieh & Ole Siam travel over to this side of the mountains quite often to visit friends in Peshastin and Leavenworth. On Memorial Day Weekend they camp on Old Blewett Road in the Scotty Creek area. It just didn’t seem there were enough caches in this area, so Lummieh decided to plant a few.

You will find this cache on the National Forrest 7324 Road. It is a nice gravel road and most all cars can travel it. You can access this road from Blewett summit or from Scotty Creek road on the east side of the pass. There are several other caches in this area. If you are here in early spring, it might be worth the while to bring a chain saw with you to clear the road of fallen trees. In late spring you will find mushroom hunters looking for the delicate morals. They can bring up to $25 a pound fresh. You just have to know where to find the mushroom buyer! There isn’t much else to look at except the woods, but you might see a deer or other wild creatures. As you travel along side the creek, you will find signs posted on the trees telling you of placer mining claims. Yes… There still is gold in them there hills.

The cache is a small drink container. It can hold a few smaller trade items. Please replace the topper to help keep the rain and snow out.
