Geocache Description:

5/1/08 the cranes and geese have begun to arrive. There seems to be no method to their arrival and departure. We drive by here a couple times a day. Sometimes we're lucky and sometimes the field is empty. If you come at the right time of year you'll see all kinds of live birds. Otherwise you'll see the fixed wing variety.

It's springtime in the Valley when the Canadian Geese arrive at this field. Followed by the Sandhill Cranes and the Snow Geese. Occasionally, swans land here too. I always wonder how far north they go from here. When I placed the cache on June 1, 2007, there were 4 dozen cranes dining for the evening. We have also seen a small red fox and a muskrat(!!!) at this very location. You're looking for a bison, well hidden, but not newly creative. You need to bring your own pencil. Wouldn't it be cool if someone got their first FTF at this cache!?!
