Geocache Description:

I heard a rumor about a fairly unique, mostly unknown area and got details on location. Hmm. NO caches anywhere near it. A plan began to develop, and it was looking a lot like the Long Lonesome Highway series: some planned stops along a route with, hopefully, some surprises on the way. I got all that, and more.

I didn't really wanna use the same theme, but it was a lot of driving just to get where I wanted to start: Highway 60 West, leaving Mankato. A local classic rock station was playing AC/DC "Highway to Hell" and although I didn't choose it, that song became the theme.

Somewhere I made a wrong turn, exiting Highway 60 and entering Highway 666.

Continuing on the unbelievably long stretch of cache-poor highway. My main focus was on Cottonwood County, which I have now entered. This was suggested by the KB waypoint locator. A great abandoned park! I've been leaving an angel coin in each cache, hoping to counter-act the evil force I was feeling. For me at least, with a very reliable waypoint, but no maps, it was almost impossible to find the access. I'm not giving any info.
