 911turbos and Scruffster invite you to a geocaching event
like no other. Back by popular demand, FANTASY, FUN
& FIRE promises to be bigger and better this
year.
As the sun sets, Trout lake will be
transformed into a garden fantasy. Pixies, gargoyles,
fairies, and mythical beasts of every description will gather
in the twilight. Lanterns of every size and shape will
light the parklands.

Everyone in attendance is
encouraged to create a lantern and bring it to the event in
order to light our evening picnic. The theme of this
year's event is:
"Magical Creatures I Meet while
Geocaching."
 
Bring along chairs or a blanket for
your group to sit on. There are two park concessions
nearby that are open late. However, if you would like
to avoid long queues, feel free to bring snacks and
beverages.
 Dress
up if you like. This is one occasion where an outrageous
costume will not be out of place. Glow stick necklaces
and glow in the dark costumes are a great way to keep track of
children in the dark.
There will be a glow in the dark
crafts and games for the children. An illuminated
multicache will be set up around the lake. Prizes will
be awarded for the most creative
lanterns.
 This
event will take place rain or shine. Be sure to dress
accordingly as it can get chilly as the evening wears
on. Insect repellent is a must for people susceptible to
bug bites. The lights tend to attract little
pests. If the weather isn't perfect, it's always nice to
have an umbrella handy.
Parking may be a problem as the
night wears on. Come early if you like. Some
geocachers will be there setting up as early as 4
PM.
As this is an evening outdoor
event, travel bugs are difficult to track. Please
refrain from dropping off travel bugs and geocoins unless you
wish to hand them off personally. There will be no box
provided to drop off TBs.
When logging your intent to attend,
please include how many people will be in your
party.
If last year is any indication, we
are sure you and your family will enjoy this truly magical
event.
