As part of the 2007 Scottish Cache Bash at Beinglas campsite, a few more caches have been added …..
This is a wee gem of a path , with offroad carparking near Tarbet . at N56* 12.660 W004* 42.002
The carpark has a gate, which may be locked at weekends to prevent use by weekend camping vans / caravans, however there is ample room before the gate for offroad parking,and there is no road after the carpark beyond the gate so you cant cause obstruction.
Excellent views along the loch are afforded mid way between the car park and the cache, and the footpath is part of the Tarbet Walks footpaths.....
Take care at the cache, some of the footing isn't very stable.. Almost a cache and dash...
The signal might struggle under the trees, so I've included 2 spoiler photos..... at the old stump , turn off the path, head west, and approx 7 yards from the path, turn back for about 7 yards south.... look for the cut logs as per spoiler 2....
Distance from orig co-ords 104 feet, but with the cover, I've upped the difficulty factor.
