A mystery cache to top off your Anna Maria Island exploration. Clear plastic lock box.
This is a mystery cache and final cache for those that completed Team AquaBoomers other caches in this series...Seaside, Trees of Memory, Skyway View, and Passage Key Marker.
Hidden just behind the protective dunes there is a pathway that parallels the beach and Gulf Front Park. There is an occasional wooden walkway or sandy pathway that provides access over the dunes and onto the beach.
There is limited side-street parking, but plenty of available parking a block or so away on Gulf Drive. The waypoint listed, identifies one parking area of close proximity to the actual cache.
This cache was placed on the same day that Tropical Storm "Barry" came ashore just north of here. Fortunately, other than some much needed rain, an excessively high tide, and some damage to the Rod & Reel Pier, the island was virtually unaffected. The original contents of the cache included: logbook,mini-biners, Geocache lanyard, clip watch, Geo-token, and for the kids, a squeeze ball, porcupine man, glow stix, plastic lizard, toy fish, and a Chick-Fil-A cow stuffed toy.

To prevent the muggle-teens (who are known to frequent these woods to do whatever it is muggle-teens do in the woods) from disturbing this cache, please be sure to re-hide it well.
After logging the cache, be sure to continue out onto the beach for one of the most beautiful views you'll ever see. Thus the name "Pathway to Paradise". Enjoy a walk on the beach or just sit on one of the benches provided. Time your cache to coincide with sunset, and it will be even more spectacular.
