Park at Tyndrum Lower Station.Cross railtrack using the level crossing and heed the warning/advice signs to cross track safely then follow the GPSr. One or two large streams to cross but very shallow and lots of crossing points. A nailed brogues and breeches cache.Best accuracy was plus/minus 10m when setting cache
The cache is placed along a track leading to dissused lead mines. In recent times there is said to be gold in the hills surrounding Tyndrum and some test mining has taken place. In popular culture, in olden times an alchemist was someone who would endeavour to turn lead into gold.
