Chers géocacheurs. Je vous ai préparé une petite marche
commençant dans le centre-ville d'Ottawa et se terminant à
Gatineau (précédemment appelé Hull). Vous pourrez
y découvrir certains des monuments les plus populaires. D'ailleurs,
je me suis permis d'en faire des reproductions, quoique de qualité
un peu inférieure aux oeuvres originales.
La marche, si les indices sont ramassés de manière optimale,
est de 4.5 km, commence à Ottawa et se termine à Gatineau.
À chaque monument, vous devrez prendre ses coordonnées.
Ceux-ci vous serviront pour trouver la cache. Pour chaque coordonnée,
je donne la racine numérique des 14 chiffres afin de minimiser tout
risque d'erreur. Un X représente un
chiffre dont vous ne vous servirez pas pour le calcul des coordonnées
de la cache. Les monuments ne seront pas nécessairement rencontrés
dans l'ordre présenté dans cette page.
Pour trouver la racine numérique de N 45° 25.485 W 75°
41.976:
4+5+2+5+4+8+5+7+5+4+1+9+7+6 = 72
Puis
7+2 = 9 = racine numérique.
Notez: la racine numérique doit être entre 1 et 9.
La cache est située à N45 2(D+J).(H-J)(B+H-F)(C-D) W75
4(E-G-1).(K-C)(A+H-G+J-1)(E-F).
Elle est bien cachée parmi les rochers.

Fellow geocachers, I have prepared for you a little walk starting in
the nation's captital and ending in Gatineau (previously called Hull).
You will discover several popular monuments. I have given myself the liberty
of reproducing them for you at a somewhat lesser quality than the originals.
The walk length, from the first monument to the cache, if done
in the optimal way, is approximately 4.5 km, and starts in Ottawa and ends
in Gatineau.
You will have to find the coordinates for each of the monuments shown
above. One digit of the coordinates for each monument will be necessary
to find the cache. For all coordinates, I give the digital root of the
sum of all 14 digits in order to minimize the risk of error at every step.
A X corresponds to a digit which is not used
for the cache position calculation. The monuments will not necessarily
be found in the order presented on this page.
To find the digital root of N 45° 25.485 W 75° 41.976:
4+5+2+5+4+8+5+7+5+4+1+9+7+6 = 72
Then
7+2 = 9 = digital root.
Note: the digital root must be between 1 and 9.
The cache is located at N45 2(D+J).(H-J)(B+H-F)(C-D) W75 4(E-G-1).(K-C)(A+H-G+J-1)(E-F).
It is well hidden among the rocks.
