This cache brings you in the Museum of Strati Eleytheriadi, known
as Teriade. The Teriade Museum opened its doors to the public in
August 1979.
Stratis Eleftheriades- Teriade (1889-1983) was an inspired
publisher. From his cooperation with the leading artists of the
20th century, he amassed a collection which is known today as the
"Great Books".
The museum is constituted by two buildings. The first and
smallest accommodates the work of the folkish painter Theofilo. A
little farther in, into the two-storied building are exhibits the
“Great books” and the pages of the magazine "Verve"
published by Eleytheriadi's at Paris.
The buildings are found in the property of Eleytheriadi, a quiet
olive grove, where you can seat and repose in the shade of the old
big olives, far from the noise of the city, be refreshed from the spring water of Ag.
Paraskevi (a little church), under the enormous oak that her boughs
touches upon the ground.
The Museum also exhibits works by: Baudin, Bornard, Bores,
Chagall, Giacometti, Grimaire, Laurence, Le Corbusier, Leger,
Matisse, Miro, Picasso, as well as by: Giorgos Vakirtzis,
Theophilos Hadjimichail, Manolis Kalliyiannis, Orestis Kanellis,
Callirhoe Marouda, Giorgos Rorris, Yiannis Tsarouchis.
The cache is a micro one, a Listerine box with a neodymium
magnet attached outside. Please bring your own pencil to sign on
the logbook because the cache is very small and contain ONLY the
logbook.
