NEW, IMPROVED LOCATION AS OF JUNE 11, 2004!
A benign mountain trail, well trodden by runners, hikers, and wilderness bikers. You'll hardly notice you've climbed nearly 1300 feet in 4 miles!
Oldtimers may recognize this as Way No. 30 of 55 Ways to the Wilderness:
"Blue-black waters below 2000-foot walls...The most scenic accessible alpine lake in the Anchorage vicinity and a scenic delight...."
Also, we found NO BUGs there!!!!!! We are average-speed walkers, and the entire adventure took 5 1/2 hours, including an hour for picnic-ing and caching. For anyone feeling especially spunky, it's just another 4 or 5 miles down to bwolv's "McHugh View" cache!
