As the name sais, this is the first Mutli-Cache of Sofia and one of the few in Bulgaria.
It is a kind of sightseeing-tour through the inner city of Sofia, which leads you to
some places of interest and hidden spots.
For reaching the final you have to solve the different stations (1-9)
and to collect the various letters (A-I).
Totally you have to comlpete a distance of 6 km (3,7 miles)
and it will take around 3 hours.
Station 1:
N 42 41.673 E 23 19.550
Count the golden hoofs you find above the main entrance.
A = _
Station 2:
N 42 41.[A]07 E 23 19.[A+2]44
How many men with a beard and a heiligenschein (or halo) are watching you from this building.
B = _
Station 3:
N 42 41.168 E 23 19.[B/A]42
Here you find a part of a historical building.
[Year of distruction] - [Year of construction] = C
C = _ _
Station 4:
N 42 41.[C+5]5 E 23 19.150
Find the golden headdress of the roman imperator Julius Caesar and count its leaves.
D = _ _
Station 5:
N 42 41.595 E 23 19.[D-C]19
Look for the likeable, musical gnome with the large tail in his face. Count the strings of his instrument.
E = _ (Sorry, but the gnome is gone: E=3)
Station 6:
N 42 41.[(2*A*D*E)-13] E 23 19.175
Here you see a big, old, yellow building in art nouveau. How many angel-like, stony faces do you find at this building.
F = _ + 2
Station 7:
N 42 42.[F-(2*E)]17 E 23 19.[F-(2*E)]69
Behind the fence a church appears. Count the red floor-tile on the ground of the main entrance.
G = _ _
Station 8:
N 42 42.0[G-F-E] E 23 19.[G-F-E]1
How many steps you have to climb up for standing in front of Sv. Paraskeva.
H = _ _
Station 9:
N 42 41.[G-H+1]3 E 23 19.[G-H+1]3
Here you find a Russian building. What is the checksum of the phonenumber for English information.
I = _ _
Sorry, but maybe something has changed: So, try the first phonenumber for Englisch information an subtract 8 from the checksum to get "I".
[Example: checksum/(sum of digits) of 45013 = 4+5+0+1+3 = 13]
Final:
Now you can calculate the final-koordinates with this formula:
N 42 xx.xxx E 23 yy.yyy
xx.xxx = 43300 - ((A*C*E)+(G*I))
yy.yyy = (B*D*F*H) + 188
As you can see on the top of the side, you are searching for a micro-cache (small film-canister).
Have fun!
Small note on cache maintenance: GalisBG has graciously offered to assist. Thanks!
