Geocache Description:

A nice easy find in Sattler, TX. Easy parking nearby.

An interesting historical site in Sattler. For many years a country school was located near here. Classes were held in the log cabin home of the teacher who lived on River Road. In 1874 a one-roomschoolhouse, Mountain Valley School, was built on land conveyed by John Marschall on the corner of the Guadalupe River and Jacobs Creek. Mountain Valley was the last of the one-room schools in Comal County and was closed in the 1950’s.
Coords will take you to the historical marker. The cache is located within 15 feet of the sign.
The previous cache was a micro attached to the sign. It disappeared too many times and we've now replaced it with a regular cache hidden nearby. Read about the place and find the cache. Plenty of room for TBs and swag.
