Geocache Description:


This is a multi-cache. The listed coordinates ARE NOT for the cache, but rather for a popular viewing area near Gander International Airport. From this location you are within several miles of all elements of the Lost Cargo cache.

The actual coordinates for the Lost Cargo cache are N48º 57.yzx, W54º 43.zyx

To complete the coordinates for the actual cache, you must first locate SL1, SL2, and SL3 caches – in any order. On the inside of the cover of each of these caches you will find a number. You will use these numbers to complete the coordinates of the Lost Cargo cache.

For over 60 years aircraft have come and gone from Gander International Airport. In that time frame there have been instances of cargo falling out of aircraft, things dropping from aircraft, even aircraft themselves falling from the sky!

Legend has it, that many years ago, a trunk containing a treasure chest fell from an aircraft enroute overseas. I stumbled upon this trunk recently and decided to make a cache out of it. I hope you enjoy it.

As usual, this cache contains the usual trinkets.
