Geocache Description:

I know it’s crazy…….But then so is this tree.

This cache is situated just outside the pretty village of Monymusk.

On leaving Monymusk there is parking at the 1st layby where the big boulders are.

This is a place that I’ve been eyeing up on the map for a wee while. I’ve also been walking past the entrance up to this walk quite a lot recently with all my training. So after having found a cache one afternoon and the weather and time being on my side I decided to follow the little track.

Being the beginning on June the Rhododendrons were in bloom and added their splashes of pink against the darker green of the trees. The path is muddy in places, but is easy enough to skirt round. On route to the cache there are 4 really large redwood trees, the same as Paradise woods.

When you get to the little bridge you can do a loop round this ‘loch’, remember to take some bread for the resident swans.

I really enjoyed this ‘little gem’ of a place and I hope you do too.
