MAM's Micro #83 - Beekman's Beach Traditional Cache
mmacgown: Stopped by to check on the area and the access to the cache is cordoned off as a construction site. Not sure if this is a temporary or permanent thing. Time to say goodbye to this one. Thanks to all who visited.

MAM's Micro #83 - Beekman's Beach
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Welcome to Beekman's Beach! This is the 83rd in my series of visiting the different towns and villages on Long Island. This cache is a bison tube. It is an easy park and grab. Parking can be found pretty close to GZ.
This cache can be found in Oyster Bay at a local beach.
I've been to this beach numerous times to go kayaking off the north shore out of Oyster Bay. It is open to the public. When going to the cache, you will be driving towards the Theodore Roosevelt community beach, which is only open to residents. As you approach the toll booth, you will see signs for The Waterfront Center/Beekman's Beach, pointing to the left. Just make a left there and it will bring you to the beach area where you can put in your boat, kayak, canoe etc. and all for free. That is for the smaller boats. I'm not sure about the larger ones. There are also kayaks for rent there in case anyone is interested.
As with all of my micros, it contains a log only. So, please be sure to bring a writing utensil that can write on Tyvek. Please be stealthy when searching for the cache. Kindly return the cache to it’s original location.
Happy hunting!
