This Cach is placed in the section of Litchfield that was once called the "HUB'. Litchfield people would travel here to shop for everything from carriages to dry goods. There once was a large pond (now gone) where the community would gather for picnics & skating. 1998 this part of town was devastated by a tornato, infact the spot where this cach is was impassable for more than a week as the National Guard cleared the road of the tall pines that came down.
