This cache is located off Route 321 between Marshburg and Kane.
In Greek mythology, Pegasus was a winged horse that was the son of Poseidon, in his role as horse-god, and the Gorgon Medusa.
In the music world, Pegasus was a song by artist John Denver, first released on the "Spirit" album. The chorus goes, "Peaceful valleys, animals, and children asking me. Tell the story that you told of sailors drinking tea. Tell the one about the man who saddled up the wind. Pegasus and flying fish and woodsmen made of tin."
And last, but not least by any means, in the wonderful world of caching, Pegasis is a cute couple who recently found their 1,000th cache at KacheKat & Kickin's Lion's Den on Sunday, May 28th. Curly and I placed this cache in honor of them and their caching achievements. Parking is available by a small memorial for the "Rodney H. Stage Pipeline". While there, be sure and read the rock. The quote on the sign at the site states, "Hard work is rewarded by never being forgotten." Pegasis, you have made your mark in the caching world and certainly won't be forgotten. To all you fellow cachers, if you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Pegasis on the caching trail or at an event, you are in for a treat as they are as dear as any two people can be.
There is a KacheKat & Kickin nontrackable coin for the FTF!
CONGRATULATIONS PEGASIS!!
