Geocache Description:

Throckmorton County has a nicely restored courthouse. You are seeking a micro cache so bring a pen.

Across the street from the courthouse is a nice historic park with a metal sculpture of a pioneer woman. It reminds me of my grandparents who lived in a dugout on the Clear Fork between here and Albany. They had courage but, drought, wind, toting water and loneleness drove them away.

Caches placed with this user account are part of the Texas Open Spaces Program. This Ground Speak approved program was created to place caches in areas of Texas that are cache-poor. The intent is to spur interest in geocaching in these areas.

Texas geocachers will help maintain this cache as a community effort, replacing logbooks, cleaning, replacing, or removing containers, etc.
