This cache is different than my other caches-there is an additional hint outside the description! this one is really easy
"John Pollock (1824 - 1868) was born in Co. Monahan, Ireland of Scottish descent. He was the sixth child, born four days before the family sailed for America. In 1848, John and his brother, Robert, staked out gold mining claims near Yreka, California. They soon grew tired of hunting for gold so they headed north by horseback.
In 1850, John filed a Donation Land Claim to 160 acres of bottom and hill land located along the Lewis River, south and just across the river from present La Center formerly named Podunk. He married the eldest Banzer daughter, Magdalina (b. 1836), who died one year later in 1851 or 1852. John Pollock received an appointment from President Millard Fillmore in 1853, to study the local Indians and their problems.
In 1857, John, 33, married Eliza Banzer (1842-1913), 15, who was his first wife's younger sister. They lived in a cabin while improving the homestead. They had three children.
In the 1855-56 Oregon-Washington Indian War, John served in Captain William Bratton's Company of Lewis River Mounted Rangers. Columbia Lancaster was a fellow soldier.
John studied law. He served in the Washington Territorial Legislature, serving on the educational committee and writing the first school laws for the Territory. Returning home from a Legislature meeting in Olympia, he became ill with pneumonia and died on February 6, 1868."

This is also the old highway into La Center. "La" being French for "The" because La Center was a major trading stop in the center of the Lewis River. have fun! (this will be the only "easy" cache in this series, I promise!)
