Welcome to Wake - 47 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

NCreviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

While the view here is not quite as spectacular as some of the others along this edge of the county it is still a very traquil spot. A little CITO would be a kindness. And do watch for golfcarts if you are approaching from Wake County or leaving headed into Wake County as the Zebulon Country Club is just around the corner!

There are half a dozen caches in this series that follow the county line as it snakes along a creek. I recommend travelling north to south - in reverse numerical order, watching the creek grow as it flows southward. The views get progressively more delightful.

Be prepared for wildlife - birds, turtles, perhaps a snake darting away towards the water. As with the half dozen caches along this section of the county the warnings are:

*Don't drop it. Please.

*Enjoy the view. Be astounded by the diversity of flora and fauna.

*Park /just/ a bit back from the coords and walk up since the bridges are narrow and the shoulders tend to drop off sharply at them.

*Watch for traffic - the roads are either heavily travelled or the bridges are tucked in curves, both creating a cautionary hazard.
