NIGHT CACHE in beautiful Bass River State Forest.
Start your journey on foot at the posted coordinates (behind Site A of the Bass River group camping area). Follow the white reflective markers throughout your journey. One marker is to confirm that you are traveling in the right direction. Two diagonal markers indicate the direction of travel (e.g. turn left or turn right). You will need to make two turns in this night cache. Once you make the SECOND TURN, you should start looking for a group of reflective markers indicating the location of the cache container (ammo can).
You do not need to be camping in the group camping area to do this cache. Non-campers can just drive down the road towards the group campsites and there will be parking for a few cars several hundred feet down the road on your left. You can also do this cache on a bike since the sand roads are pretty hard packed. Just make sure that you have a good headlamp on your bike!
The park does charge an entrance fee from Memorial Day to Labor Day. However, if you enter the park after 6:00 p.m. then there may not be anybody in the contact station (guard house).
