Geocache Description:

This is a small lock 'n lock container hidden off a trail in the Cromwell Valley Park. Note the terrain difficulty rating of 3.5. This cache requires a strenous hike.

This cache is part of a series named for Greek and Roman deities - celebrating the various aspects of geocaching using the personalities ascribed to the gods by the ancients. Artemis (or Diana) was the goddess of wild things and the hunt. This cache is for geocachers who enjoy the sport because it gets them out in the woods. The cache is simply hidden, the container is not flashy or special, and you will go to a spot that you would otherwise not visit. We spotted a couple deer, a bunny, and several species of birds as we hiked to place this cache. Use common sense and caution in hunting this cache. You can follow the trail system to about 100 feet from the cache, follow deer trails to stream crossing then you are on your own. Terrain is difficult once you leave the path - not suitable for small children. Adults may want to use a hiking stick.
