This is the very first Ranger Rick cache set up in 2007 to honor the wonderful work of The National Wildlife Federation. The building behind this cache is the home of the National Wildlife Federation. These geocaches are located along the trails of Lake Fairfax Park. Please be respectful of the park's rules and the many walkers, runners, and mountain bikers you may encounter.
Also keep a lookout for our wildlife neighbors: white-tailed deer, pileated woodpeckers, grey squirrels, chipmunks, goldfinches, blue jays, red-tailed hawks, skinks and many others. If you're quiet, you may be more likely to spot them. Be sure to tell us about what you saw along the way!
This geocache has been placed with permission from the Fairfax County Park Authority.
