It’s finally time for me to begin hiding caches and the new Osage Prairie Trail seemed like the perfect place to begin.
This series should feature something for everyone, from 1/1’s to puzzles, in a variety of container sizes. As an added bonus there are benchmarks, both discovered and those awaiting discovery.
The attributes listed are for the series and may or may not reflect a particular cache. I will note any special considerations for any particular cache.
Vision 2025 funds constructed a multiuse trail along what was previously the Osage Railroad in Tulsa and Osage Counties, providing opportunities for transportation, recreation and exercise. The trail is a scenic and safe connection for users traveling north from the OSU-Tulsa campus to 56th Street North to highway 20 in central Skiatook with recreational and fitness opportunities along the way.
The Osage Prairie Trail connects and serves several important facilities; seven schools (Cherokee Elementary, Greely Elementary, Sperry Public Schools, Newman Middle, Skiatook High, Marrs Elementary, and Central Elementary), three parks (Vining Park, Taylor County Park and Zink Park), and one airport (Skiatook Airport). All of these facilities are located within one mile of the trail. Trail amenities along the Osage Prairie Trail include fencing, bollards, hand rails, benches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, bike racks, signage, drinking fountains, equestrian facilities and parking.
