Geocache Description:

Nice, easy park and grab.

We wouldn't be here without the windmill. It played an important part in helping pioneers settle the American frontier. Today it helps us to conserve energy as we learn to harness the power of the wind. We love this picturesque spot for many reasons. It is particularly beautiful in the evenings as the Panhandle sunsets paint the sky behind the windmill and lone tree. We also love the twin houses that can be seen back towards the west. We have found many lone trees next to windmills, a moment of history abandoned. This is not surprising, just poignant.

Please do not go past the fence as the cache is not there. Also watch for snakes.
