Geocache Description:

You can turn off the state highway onto a gravel/grass-covered driveway and park near the flag pole. If you are a local county resident you may recognize many of the names on the headstones. Bilsing, Brown, Dapper, Eckert, Fisher, Huber, Klahn, Poffenbaugh, Schwearer, Sherer, Volk, Volkmer, Weaver, etc. The coordinates will take you to the headstone of my grandparents who had a homestead less than a mile from here. There used to be a church/one-room schoolhouse on the north end of this property where my dad went to school in elementary grades (!917-23).

8/6/'09 Update: there is no longer a stage 2 for this cache. It is now a simple offset multi. You will have to be compass skilled and use the info in the next paragraph to locate the final.

If you are clever you can skip stage 2 as follows. At stage one turn your GPSr to compass mode and go 138ft on a cardinal bearing (N,S,E,W) and you will be at the final. Short-cuts aren't always "quick."

This is a "short multi." You won't need your car! Log only cache. BYOP.

This cache is placed with permission from the cemetery trustees. Daylight hours only, please.
