MPCT #2 - Boeing Boeing Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Alsume: Unfortunately the sculpture , which had been damaged in wild winds recently, has now been totally removed. I don't know if it is gone permanently or is likely to be replaced at some stage. Hence, I have no choice but to archive this cache. However, to maintain the integrity of the whole series and the bonus cache in particular, I will create a version 2 replacement fairly soon.

Geocache Description:

Alsume’s eleventh cache is the second of a series of six caches placed along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail. This series of caches runs starts in Strathmore and finishes near Roxburgh Park. There is also a bonus cache for those who complete the series of six caches. There are clues for the coordinates of the bonus cache in each of six caches. The series is designed to be done by bike, although some, but not all, of the caches are accessible from nearby streets without too long a walk. The length of the ride from MPCT #1 to MPCT # 6 is approximately 12km each way.

This cache takes you to Boeing Reserve and one of three sculptures along the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail that form part of the Moonee Valley History Trail (the others are at Cross Keys Reserve and Travancore Park). There is a sign with information about the sculptures at S 37º 42.950 E 144º 54.139.

At waypoint 1 you will be looking at the sculpture. There are two seats shaped and carved like leaves that form part of it.
A = the number of wavy lines on the leaf to the North-East of the main sculpture (only count those in the longest set of wavy lines)
B = the number of rocks holding up the other seat

The cache is at:
S 37º 43.(5xB-3xA)(A+B)(A) E 144º 54.(A-B-2)(4+A)(B+2)

(Description and final coordinates amended by a few metres on 1 Feb 2014)

There are also a number of other caches on or close to the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, e.g.
Pascoe Pedal #1
Pascoe Pedal #2
Pascoe Pedal #3
Angry Lockers
CCT-7 Moonee Ponds Creek Trail

- so you could turn it into a longer ride and pick up several other caches along the way.

The cache is a small cylindrical container, approx 200 ml, camouflaged to blend into its surroundings. It is suitable for only small swaps.
There is no pen, so please bring your own.
