Thomas & Friends - Henry Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Hanoosh: Hi

This cache has been flagged to me as one that requires some attention by the cache owner as it has either not been found for a while or there is a reported issue with the cache.

May I ask that the cache owner checks the cache to confirm it is still in situ and/or deal with any maintenance required and/or give an indication of when it may be up and running again for people to find by adding a note to the cache page so that other cachers and reviewers can see what your intentions are.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Once the cache has been sorted out, please enable it.

If this cannot be done or if you no longer wish to maintain the cache then the listing should be archived.

Sadly if there is no response to this log after 30 days I will have to archive the cache. In the meantime I am disabling the cache.

Please DO NOT send an email about this cache in case I do not receive it. Posting a reviewer note will ensure your cache does not get archived in error.

Please note that the guidelines say that if a cache is archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ staff for lack of maintenance then it will not be unarchived. Here is the link to the relevant part of the guidelines Ownership after publication.

Regards

Geocache Description:

Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends are based on the Railway Series of books written by the Reverend W. Awdry (1911-1997). The stories were created in 1942 to entertain the Reverend's son, Christopher, who was confined to bed with the measles.

This is one of a series of caches dedicated to finding Thomas (Where's Thomas?) but first you have to find his friends. Thomas is a cheeky, fussy little engine who wears #1 on his side and never lets anyone forget it. Joining him in his adventures on the Island of Sodor are his engine friends, including cheerful Percy, moody James and the proud but boastful Gordon.

They are joined by the coaches Annie and Clarabel, Bertie the Bus, Terence the Tractor and Harold the Helicopter, to name a few. Sir Topham Hatt, Superintendent of the railroad, is the kindly boss who keeps everyone in order.

Henry is a steam engine from the television series, Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. He was one of the first engines to ever appear in The Railway Series books by the Rev.W.Awdry. Henry lives and works on the Island of Sodor, along with other characters in the show. He is engine number 3 on the railway, a 4-6-0 Mainline Steam Engine and is painted green with red stripes.

Henry, was the third story, 'The Sad Story of Henry', had its origins in a limerick:

Once an engine attached to a train
Was afraid of a few drops of rain.
It went into a tunnel
And squeaked through its funnel
And never came out again.

Find Henry and he will help you find Thomas! (Is he in the tunnel at Yarwell?)

** Please Note **

The cache is not situated ON the railway - this is an active railway, trains can arrive at any time without warning!

There are footpaths leading to the site, do not block any gates or entrance, no need to trespass on private land and is accessible as a driveby.
