Geocache Description:

This is the former location of the First Self-Righteous Church of Pascagoula.

In the summer of 1937 a young boy who was visiting his grandmother brought a wild squirrel to church on Sunday morning. When the young boy revealed the squirrel to his friend it escaped from the shoebox that it was held in and went absolutley beserk. The church burned to the ground in the pandamonium and the story was recorded in a song by Ray Stevens.
