Geocache Description:

A quick cache and dash micro for you. The cache is a small film case, Good luck finding it. The log book just fits inside the cache, It helps if you tuck the book into the lid and then close the cache.

Herne Mill is a traditional flour mill built in 1789 to replace a earlier mill originally from the 16th century. Although a mill has been reported to have been on the sight for over 600 years.

From the top of Mill Hill you can see across Herne Bay and over to Whistable. On a clear day you can see out to sea, and maybe even the Wind farm (It was hazy the day I placed the cache and couldn't see much.)

The Mill is open on a Sunday afternoon to have a look around.

Please make sure the cache is secured back where you found it, the last one fell off and got lost .

Thanks To MooToo for reminding me: you will need your own pen as I didn't have one that would fit in the cache sorry.

I have now added this cache to the Windmills of Kent series started by the Eastry Cache Bandits. If you wish to add caches to the series please email them and get a number so they can keep a track of all the windmill caches.

An interesting history of the mill can be found at: http://www.favonius.com/herne/index.htm.
