I once actually left that note as a found it for a cache after
many many disappointing hides by the same "company". And still do,
because although I appreciate it when any cacher makes an effort to
hide a cache there are certain ones that have not bothered to at
all. And so this series is to pay tribute to those caches that you
hike kilometers (or not so far) to get to only to discover that the
hide was a total disappointment and the cache is pretty much laying
in the open. These caches are not difficult hikes or finds but they
are better than some others.
This first cache in the series will bring you to the quiet
little village of Solina. Most people wouldn't even know its here
unless you drove through it. Tucked away from the main roads,
unless you are a resident you probably won't be driving through it.
Here in Solina there is a small cemetery that has been
restored.
Parking for the cache will be apparent, just off the road.
Please don't drive too far onto the grass. Check out the monuments
here and you will find some of the original folks that created this
village. From here you get a great veiw of Solina to the North
East. Also to the West offers a great place to watch the sunset.
The cache is a 1L Lock N Lock that has been camo'd. Its not a
difficult hide but please take care not to destroy the vegatation
around the cache. You only need to reach in to grab it. You don't
need to climb in yourself. Also please use a little stealth. The
locals watch when people come to visit.
Enjoy,
Sweety
