Pirate's Lot... Traditional Cache

The most favorable place for relocation of this cache is over one mile from the original location, hence the placing of a new cache, "Pirates Lot II" in the Corolla area. This is a quick park and grab cache, no puzzles, no tricks, just back to the basic skills most any geocacher will possess.
This once barren spit of land was home to many pirates of old, the infamous "Blackbeard" for one. He roamed this area seeking to plunder most any ship that should have the misfortune of passing his ship's
bow. It has been told that he may have even buried some of his treasures right here! For those of us who enjoy the hobby of treasure hunting, metal detecting to be more precise, we have found numerous treasures in the form of old coinage, Spanish and English mostly, old cuttlery and table utensils, ships spikes, and more all within earshot of this very spot. Some of the coins date into the 1600's. As you search for this cache, take time to head east a short distance and enjoy the view, a Pirates view, and who knows, maybe underneath your feet may be found some of Blackbeard's Treasure....
This cache is not difficult to find, you should recognize it as soon as you see it, if you possess any caching skills. This cache began with a travel bug and a few small items for trade, as well as the log. Keep a sharp lookout for muggles, at times they abound here. This cache was destroyed in a lot clearing operation at it's original location and has been relocated here. Cache in and trash out, please. Enjoy the hunt, enjoy the location to the east, but don't get caught spending the night here, if Blackbeard's ghost doesn't get you, the Sheriff's patrol surely will! Arrrrrrg!
