Geocache Description:

I had to move this cache and change the size due to work in this area. This is the third of a series of three caches on a greenway starting at Island Home City Park on the Tennessee River, traveling through Ijams Nature Center, and ending at Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area on the French Broad River. These caches can be done separately, but it is much more enjoyable to do them first through third. You can walk or ride your bike on this paved greenway. The total distance of the greenway is 3.5 miles. It is a very scenic and fairly gentle walk or ride ending at a great overlook. I have given starting parking coordinates, closest parking areas, and distance from parking. The third cache is an ammo can hidden about 50 feet off the paved greenway. This is very close to the confluence of three great rivers. You can continue up the Greenway about a ¼ mile to a fantastic overlook of the French Broad River. You can continue past there on an unpaved trail to other overlooks and scenic views and another cache. Be careful when muddy!
