From the highway 411/136 intersection, turn east and go app. 5 1/2 miles. Then turn on highway 382 and go to the top of the hill and turn left on Harris Branch Road.
Come out and crash at Carters! Welcome to the third annual lake cookout and get-together. This year we'll be at scenic Carters Lake, at the Harris Branch campground pavillion. Join your fellow cachers for some stories and maybe some elusive hints. I'll be cooking up some hotdogs and all the fixings. Lunch is at 12:30. As with my past lunches, no one is required to pay or bring anything. But us cachers will always eat something brought that just has to be tried. Be sure to tell the attendant you are with the group shelter for the cookout, or you might have to pay the $4 visitor fee.
For those driving a long distance, there will be an optional campout **Saturday night* with some good ol' boys and lots of comradery. We will have a cowboy supper by the campfire, so bring your chow, from marshmellows to steaks. If you have any questions, email me or Johnnie.
