Stop in and visit the Church Beach
Lummi Island doesn't have too many public-accessible places, and fewer beaches. Fortunately the Lummi Island Congregational Church has opened their beach to (responsible) public use.
The path down to the beach is long but not steep.
This cache was originally in the large stump a couple steps up from the beach, and was very easy to find if you scrambled up. Then, a stash in the rocks, by the stairs. Unfortunately, it wasn't always rehid so well, and with the winter storms, the stump disintegrating and multitudes of muggles visiting this beautiful spot, the cache couldn't last.
Thus, the new cache is somewhat more difficult. You can see GZ from anywhere on the beach, so please don't attempt this one when muggles are around. Especially teenage ones.
Enjoy the beach while you're there. It has great views of Orcas and the San Juans, and often there is a weather shadow at this beach. Keep in mind the beach to the east and west of the Church Beach is privately owned.
Please post better coordinates as you may get them.
