Geocache Description:

The above coordinates will get you to the parking area. To find this cache, you must first find the other two CLT Series caches located in Brooke Preserve. Each will contain half of the coordinates to this cache. This cache is a camouflaged small ammo box. Winter snow could make this more difficult.

This is one of a series of three caches located in Brooke Preserve, part of the Cheshire Land Trust. Brooke Preserve is full of wildlife, including many deer. This cache series is named in honor of the local wildlife. We placed these caches with the permission of CLT in the hopes of getting more people to be aware of the great properties that make up the Cheshire Land Trust. We hope you enjoy this area as much as we do. Like most parks, this area is available sunrise to sunset. (Note: We had a tough time getting stable GPSr readings due to location and tree cover.) The blue blazed trail was the work of local Scout Troop #92 and was completed in Spring of 2007. The trail is approx. 1-1/2 miles and traverses a variety of terrain including a winding brook in a small, but pretty gorge . The loop trail can be walked in either direction to return to the original starting point. There is a high point on the south loop that offers a view of Mount Sanford and Prospect Ridge. For more information about the Cheshire Land Trust, visit their website at: http://www.cheshirelandtrust.org The entrance and small parking area is located on Sperry Road, between Cook Hill Road and Jinny Hill Road. Coordinates for parking area - N 41 28.243 W 072 53.594 WINTER Parking Note: As there is no curb cut to the parking area, parking in winter will depend on local snow fall totals (unless you have a truck). Alternate parking can be found at Fresh Meadows on Cook Hill Rd., 41 28.037N 072 53.765W.
