Geocache Description:

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) built this place and here you find some of the hidden and mostly forgotten ruins. This is located in an amphitheater. The terrain can be a little rough and the path is very overgrown.

One will find evidence of an amphitheater if one uses one's imagination. My grandfather was one of the supervisors who built this place. He did many things in his life, few for very long. He was an interesting man and this is a tribute to him. For a brief review of the WPA, you can visit: http://www.indiana.edu/~liblilly/wpa/wpa_info.html Shelter 17 would be a good place to start this journey down a little path that heads towards the pool. Take a leftward path and look to the left for steps up. Stay up and work your way around. The cache is an ammo box. I went out with my new GPS and no leaves to try and get this a little more accurate. Funny thing was, I had trouble finding it, because someone felt it needed to be moved. Not really good caching etiquette. GPS said it was 10' Accurate. Went again 10 December 2022. It seemed moved again. Coordinates will get you in the area. I hid better and updated the clue.
