You will need a telescope/binoculars,compass and a topo map or google earth. There is a small first finder prize.
Cache is about 18' from the tree under a rock. Bring own pencil(try to use a pencil,pens smudge). Before leaving home you should work out the coords on the topo map or google earth. Draw a line from part 1 to the highway coords. Coords for the highway reference point are 41° 27.055 and 075° 34.999. Try to go on a somewhat clear day.
Take a compass reading of 135°. Look right on top of the mountain for a group of trees(see pic 1). It's another pine tree. You may not even need to go to part 1 since I was able to get a good pic of it through the scope. This tree shouldn't be too hard to find. I found it the 1st time I went. My coords were off by only about 400'. It's about .9 mile one way.
