This cache is located along a favorite walk of mine, which also happens to provide Juneau with some of its hydroelectric power.
You can access this walk from either end but not easily from the middle (there is a large creek between you and the cache!). If you're not familiar with the area I would recommend finding Avalanche Cache (GC10PPZ) first and then continuing up Basin Road, crossing Gold Creek and walking The Flume (its boardwalk) to Hydro Power; following this route it is about 1.5miles one-way from the center of town. To return to the ships, rather than retracing your steps, there is road access from Hydro Power down to A Golden Cache (GC1328R) and then along to House on The Hill (GC10PK7), why not hit Museum Trading Post (GCGAQ1) while you're at it, this entire loop is about 3miles.
