Film Buffoon - Watership Down
Third cache in the Film Buffoon series, you're looking for a
lock'n'lock box large enough for small swaps and TBs
This was originally to have been called "The Dish", as for years
there was a large satellite dish just a few hundred yards away. The
day I came to place the cache, it had gone. Still, the reasons for
calling it "Watership Down" should be obvious if you keep
quiet...
Altogther now "Bright Eyes, burning like fire...."
Don't forget to collect another code letter for the bonus
cache, it is glued to the underside of the box lid
The nearby antennas are for the Radio
Monitoring Station which monitors usage of the radio spectrum
for OFCOM.
About the Film Buffoon series
This series is intended as a scenic 8 mile circular walk in the
countryside near Baldock. It is mainly on footpaths and bridleways,
with plenty of off-the-lead opportunities for your canine
companions.
I suggest parking at the coords for "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
and completing the caches anti-clockwise in the order listed below.
You tend to be facing the views in that direction, and it also
means that for the multi caches, you won't need to double back.
Aside from the bonus, each of the caches stand alone and can be
found separately if you're not up to the full circuit.
Also note that if you attempt this on a hot day, be sure to take
plenty of drinks with you as most of the route has little shade,
and there are no shops or pubs en route!
