This is an ammo box hide located just off the Florida State Trail. The entrance to the trail is just off of Highway 85 south of Crestview on the northbound side. When heading north on Hwy 85, the turn-off is just past mile marker 26. Drive to the edge of the woods, turn left and look for the sign at the trailhead.
This is a great hiking trail. Please note this section of the trail is located on the Eglin Air Force Base Reservation. To hike (and geocache) on this trail, there is a $10 fee for an annual pass recreation permit (Oct through Sep of every year) that can be obtained by anyone at:

PLEAE DO NOT GO ON THIS TRAIL WITHOUT YOUR PERMIT! There are many geocaches located on the Eglin reservation and the $10 is worth the money. Kids are free.
The cache is located just off the trail. Please bring water when it is hot outside. Enjoy the hike and the caching!
