As you journey towards the end of the road one might reflect on the journey one had to take to get to this point. The hardships, the tremolos, and the heated discussions with loved one or with ones self. Was this trip really necessary, will I find it or will I have to log a DNF. We hope not!!!
There are two Geocoin "Challenges" taking place in this area and they will last until the last Geocoin is passed out. The Basics are:
THE CANBY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE GEOCOIN:
1. Pick up a Game Card at the Canby Chamber of Commerce (actually, you can do the 10 Caches and then go get the Game Card, fill it out, turn it in and claim your coin.). BE CAREFUL they have Business Hours and close for Lunch!!
2. Do 10 Geocaches in the Canby area. 3 of the 10 must be done in the last 30 days. The only required Cache is the Original Stash Tribute Plaque close to Estacada (I know that is not Canby but Geocaching History ruled this one in the Challenge!!) and if you have ever done it, it counts. While at the Original Stash head over to Estacada and do the TIMBER PARK CACHE -- you'll see why in a minute!
3. Return the card and claim your Geocoin.
MT HOOD TERRITORY JULY GEOCACHE CONTEST:
1. Go to "MtHoodTerritory.com", 'Click' on the 'SUITCASE' and find July Geocache Contest info and download the ENTRY FORM. The Entry Form lists 10 Geocaches (by GC#) in Clackamas County. (The "TIMBER PARK CACHE" is one of them!!)
2. Find 7 of the 10 Geocaches and record the "CODE WORD" found in each cache (written on the bottom of the AMMO Can and on a laminated card in the Cache).
3. Go to the closest of the 3 Visitor Information Centers listed on the Entry Form and claim your Geocoin.
