This cache was initially placed as a personal Father's Day cache put together by our extended family for the Dad of the Hamfam5(R-Hamfam5), also for grown son DC_Raijin, who is also a dad. We thought it would be a great way for them to spend Father's Day together, which this year also happened to land on R-Hamfam5's birthday - hence the title. We then decided to make it available to all geocachers, so they could get in on the fun.
The cache is an ammo box located about 15 feet off a trail in the woods of a local park. It contains a FTF prize and pin, in addition to various trade items. We found the best success in finding this cache was to get our GPSr readings while still on the trail, then just head for the general area where it points. Once you're off the trail the leaf cover tends to get heavier. The park also has a nice playground, more hiking trails, and plenty of open fields, also a skate park. Picnic tables are also available, so you might want to pack a lunch. Hours are from dawn to 10 PM. Please use caution when muggles are around, and we would appreciate if you would replace the cache with the same degree of camouflage as you found it. Enjoy!
