This cache has been archived.

#1Cachers: Thanks to everyone who took the time to find our cache. We decided to archive it because the area it was in is near a swamp which made for a lot of mosquitoes in the summer months. Thanks Again from #1cachers

Geocache Description:

The Coal & Coke Trail ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at 10 a.m. on July 7,2007 to officially welcome the use of the Coal and Coke Chapter recreation trail that connects Scottdale and Mt. Pleasant boroughs

The trail is a 4.5-mile stretch that is bordered by dense woods and runs parallel to the meandering Jacobs Creek. Its surface is packed, crushed limestone, perfect for cyclists and walkers alike. The Mt. Pleasant section of the trail begins at the eastern side of Willows Park and concludes in Scottdale, where it is linked to the Jacobs Creek multi-use trail, located in Kendi Park, that stretches an additional 1.5 miles.

Future plans for the trail include extensions that will reach a similar trail in Youngwood.

This cache is located somewhere along the 4.6-mile Coal and Coke Trail.

The Cache is a 50cal Ammo box.
